In the first four months of 2026, 68% of Google searches ended without a single click, up from 60% in 2024, according to SparkToro and Similarweb data. At Google I/O 2026, AI Mode became the default search experience for over 1 billion users. Google's AI now answers the question before anyone visits a website.
